Year 11 Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGS) - Parents' Guide to Evidence
14 May 2021
We hope that you and your family are keeping well. We are incredibly proud of how the students have conducted themselves during the check-point assessments and we hope that students feel happy that they have been able to demonstrate to their staff, what they currently know, understand and can do.
Although many students are nearly finished there are still assessments scheduled over the next two weeks. Many students are still completing Non-Examined Assessments (NEA) and staff have planned lessons right up until the May half term break. We hope that your son/daughter will find these lessons useful and enjoyable. Please remember that students should remain available up until the 18th June.
Staff have been making carefully considered decisions about what evidence they will be using to determine the final Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs) and I am pleased to be able to share this with you in this letter. Please look through the subjects that your son/daughter is studying and discuss with them the evidence that is being used. Staff will be using this evidence to determine the TAGs and then these TAGs will go through a robust internal and external Quality Assurance (QA) process.
If there are any assessments listed that students did not complete, they should not worry at this stage. Staff will be in touch if they believe they need additional evidence.

Students staying on at our Sixth Form will receive information over the next couple of weeks detailing bridging work for the subjects they have selected to study. Students not staying on will also be able to access this work if they choose.
We will be in touch towards the end of the academic year with information about results days and appeals. However, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you and our students for your continuing support during this challenging period. We wish you all an enjoyable summer.

Deputy Headteacher and Director of Sixth Form
