Year 11 - Grade Predictions and Preparing for Next Year
22 Apr 2020
I hope everyone is keeping well and that you enjoyed the Easter break.
Since my last communication, staff have been working hard on reviewing the evidence which will be used to predict the grades for your son/daughter.
We do appreciate this is an uncertain time for your child, but want to reassure parents and students that we are being extremely thorough when completing the processes involved. There are several quality assurance steps we are working through before the data is submitted to ensure we are completely confident with the accuracy of the information.
Alongside this work, we have been placing all students into email groups according to the prospective subjects they will be moving onto in Year 12. From 4 May, staff will be emailing out preparation work for the A level courses they have selected. Students have already been made aware of this plan by Mrs Rundle-Brown.
Could I please stress that you remind your son/daughter to manage their email account? They need to delete old emails regularly and also to empty the deleted items folder as this takes up additional memory.
If your son/daughter is not planning to stay at Ashby at the end of Year 11 but is going to another educational establishment, we would be happy to add them into the appropriate subject email groups. The courses may not be exactly the same but any preparation would be useful to them. If you wish to do this, please email Mrs Rundle-Brown at email@example.com specifying the subject emails you would like your child to receive.
Please take care over the coming weeks.
