Coronavirus - Self-Isolation and Student Portal
18 Mar 2020
You will be aware from the news that stronger guidance was released on Monday regarding self-isolation and this is now starting to have an impact on the running of the school. We are monitoring the situation but I wanted to give you early notice that we may have to close the school to particular year groups as we move forward. The priority will be to keep Years 11 and 13 in school where possible as they are preparing for exams.
The link below outlines the medical conditions that make people more vulnerable. If you or your child has any of these conditions, you will need to determine whether self-isolation is appropriate for you.
We have received requests for work from students who are already self-isolating but the growing number of these requests has now made it very difficult to provide a personal reply to everyone. We are now asking all students to use the student portal where they will find all the resources they need. Staff will be emailing class groups with details of the work that needs to be done. We understand your concerns but ask all parents to be patient at this difficult time. Staff are doing as much as they can in what is a challenging situation for all of us.
I will update you as the situation develops.
