Student Council
Student Councillors come from all year groups and meet regularly to plan events and to discuss issues raised by students.
The Student Council for 2023/24 is led by Alice Dodd along with deputies Katie McGill and Thomas Hudson and ambassador Jake Boulton, all in Year 13. They meet fortnightly with students from Years 10, 11, 12 and 13. Meetings with KS3 students are held during Wednesday form time on alternate weeks.
Alice said: "The Student Council is a really important platform for students of all years to raise issues or put forward ideas and suggestions which we then feed back to Mrs Rundle-Brown."
Students can put forward ideas for discussion by using the suggestion box in the school library or emailing studentcouncil@ashbyschool.org.uk
Student Councillors also help to plan and organise charity events, like Children in Need.
