Culture at the heart of learning

Welcome to Ashby School

Ashby school is an inclusive 11-18 provision that sits in the heart of our local community and prides ourself on putting students at the heart of all we do.

Our ethos statements echo this, encouraging our students to be ‘Empowered to Learn’ and to believe that ‘Anything is Possible’ through hard work and commitment. Through this ethos, we combine academic aspiration and the opportunities for our students to embrace our core values; to Show Respect, Accept Responsibility and Build Resilience to prepare them for a successful future. We want all our students to have a happy and successful learning experience and the confidence and qualifications to step into successful futures.

We hope our website tells you a little more about the work we do and that, when we work together, at Ashby School, ‘Anything is Possible’.

At Ashby School we strive for the promotion of academic success alongside holistic success. On 16th April 2026 we are holding our annual KS4 & 5 Awards Evening, and we would like to ask for your support through sponsorship of the awards to be given to our most deserving students. In return for your financial support, we would include your business name in our programme's for the evening, which are handed out to those who attend, which include parents/carers and selected members of the local community. We hope that this partnership would help to build links between Ashby School and our local community. If you are interested in contributing to our Awards Evening 2026, please email our Awards Administrator at acooper@ashbyschool.org.uk for more information. #AshbySchool #AshbySixthForm #AwardsEvening

NWLSSP sportshall athletics, hosted at @officialivanhoeschool. On Wednesday 21st January, our Year 8 all girls team took part in track and field events ; shot put, speed bounce, stand long jump, stand triple jump, vertical jump, 2 lap, 4 laps, 8 lap paarlauf, 4x1 hurdles relay and 4x2 laps relay. We won the girls competition and are through to County rounds (due to be hosted at Loughborough university). It was an absolutely fantastic display of athletic
abilities to be 10pts clear of 2nd place and even coming 3rd in the mixed competition, despite no boys’ team being entered. Ella who captained the event, led well and it was an excellent effort by all involved, but special mention to Esmee who entered the maximum of 5 events. #AshbySchool #SportshallAthletics #GirlsCompetition
